Criminal Justice Unit

This program provides the Assessment/Treatment of individuals with substance abuse problems. Majority of all referrals come from the Criminal Justice System. Treatment entails individual, group and family counseling.

Children & Youth Unit

This program provides the Assessment/Treatment of individuals with substance abuse problems. Majority of all referrals come from the, Children & Youth System a small percentage from the community. Treatment entails individual, group and family counseling.

Drug Treatment Court

The program treats those individuals who are involved in Luzerne County's treatment Court. This program includes an Intensive Outpatient Program, initial evaluations, individual counseling, group therapy and educational programs.

Pre & Post Trial Services

Pre-Trial Services is also referred to as the Luzerne County bail agency. This program will help reduce the inmate population of the Luzerne County Correctional Facility by providing bail supervision service while affecting the maximum delivery of community based services. Through supervision, clients will be monitored on a regular basis to aid them in becoming productive members of society.

Post-Trial Services also affects the maximum delivery of community based services to drug and alcohol impaired defendants who have consented to participate and are under the jurisdiction of the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas, the Luzerne County Adult Probation Office and the Luzerne County Drug Treatment Court. Through intensive case management, supervision and coordinated interaction between the Post-Trial Services staff and the Luzerne County Probation Office participants will be monitored and evaluated on a regular basis. Through collaborative efforts, the cycle of recidivism will be broken and the clientele will impact society in a positive manner.

Northeast Highway Safety program

Training, informational and educational programs are presented to children, teens, adults, the elderly and special populations such as police.

The Program promotes information on Child Passenger Safety, Bike and Motorcycle Safety, Pedestrian Safety, Impaired Driving and Seatbelt Safety. 

Activities include Bike Derby’s, Helmet Giveaways, Child Car seat give-a-ways and safety checks serving Luzerne, Wyoming, Susquehanna and Wayne Counties.

Urinalysis

This program provides a 9 panel drug screen and additional alcohol screenings. This service is provided for Children and Youth clients, private custody clients, work release, and pre-trial clients to monitor any drug or alcohol use.
